CYANOTYPE STUDIO — OWNED WORK, NOT A CLIENT CAMPAIGN

DEAD AIR.

Space is the original quiet. Everything loud about it is something we brought. Two pictures of the same sky — one with the noise up, one with it gone.

01 / THE IDEADrop the noise. This is what's left.

One of these pictures is shouting. One has dropped every sound it can. They're the same sky.

Turn the noise up and you get colour, symmetry, incident — a dawn that performs. Turn it off and you get one figure, one light, and the distance between them.

This is where block the noise came from — years before it was a line under a logo. Not a slogan. A way of deciding what stays in frame.

The loudest thing out there is how quiet it is.

02 / THE WORKThe pair.

Self-initiated illustration and poster design. Shown together on purpose — the argument only works as a pair.

VOID — a lone astronaut drifting between dark planets toward a distant sun, cinematic key-art poster
VOID01

Noise off. One figure, one sun, everything else dropped into the dark.

POSTER / KEY ART

First Light — a banded sun rising between rim-lit mountains under layered planets, flat-vector illustration
First Light02

Noise up. The same sky with the colour, symmetry, and incident turned all the way on.

03 / THE PRACTICEFour rules for a quiet frame.
One light source

A single sun does all the work. Every other value in the frame is measured against it.

One small human

If a figure appears, it's tiny and calm — scale is the subject, not the person.

Colour is a choice, not a default

The loud picture earns its colour on purpose. The quiet one spends almost none — and says more.

Silence is the subject

Empty space isn't leftover. It's the thing the picture is actually about.

04 / TYPE & PALETTEOne heavy word. Mostly dark.
DEAD AIR.
ARCHIVO BLACK — DISPLAY / ONE WORD, HELD

A heavy geometric sans, big enough to be the whole image. Poster logic: the title is the composition, not a label sitting on top of one.

SPACE MONO — CAPTIONS / METADATA

Museum-label voice — piece number, title, medium. Present only to identify the work, never to sell it.

Sampled from the key art itself: near-black ground, one warm sun, cream on top of the dark. The whole palette is the space between a light and its absence.
